The hearing to draft rules governing federal judicial misconduct complaints for the entire nation was held for only 2 hours, Sept.27,2007 in Brooklyn NY. Only three speakers were heard by the committee chair, Judge Stephen Brey. The first, a good old boy Arthur Helman Esq., and two gentlemen, a Dr. Richard Cordero Esq.(www.judicial-discipline-reform.org) and Frank Knize (Frankknee@aol.com ) who filmed the entire event. Under the current rules, the judges took disciplinary action against their peers in only 14 cases out of the 7462 complaints filed in the past 10 years. In the 218 years since the adoption of the constitution, only seven judges have been removed. 99% of all complaints are dismissed in secrecy.

During the month of 1/07, there were 39 combat killings in Iraq and 35 murders in Detroit alone. Should we get out of Detroit? (ABA Jrl.)

Lawyers are not popular because of the high prices they are able to charge due to the monopoly on providing legal service.  Every state except Arizona has UPL statutes (unauthorized practice of law) which make it illegal to do what lawyers do.( www.cato.org )

Ackerman because he had ex parte conversations with forensic Barbara Burkhard, who threatened the litigant with the loss of her children. They think its business as usual. McNulty(S) won’t admit her mistakes; she thinks it’s within her discretion to rip a 13 year old from the custodial parent and move him 200 miles away. She never bothered to consult with the child and instead listened to corrupt incompetent attorneys. 3.Judge Greenberg (N Family) punished a hard working mother with 17 days in prison and 45 court appearances, because she didn’t know the whereabouts of her 17 year old runaway daughter. 4. 97% of the 15,000 yearly complaints against lawyers are dismissed without an investigation. When there is a hearing, it’s secret.(NYS BA 2005) 5. Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes finally put Judge Gerald Garson away for 10 years. New laws: A no spanking for kids under 3 was proposed by Sally Leiber(d) CA Assembly( Sacramento Bee 3/07). A no more than “1” inch of snow on cars was proposed by Jon Cooper Nassau County Legislature ( Suffolk Life 3/07). A no feeding the geese law was proposed by Nassau Legislator David Dennenberg.  Therefore, we will need lawyers that specialize in slap suits, ice depth and geese droppings.

When lawyers Steal was Newsday’s headline back on May 10^th,1992, with Long Island the highest theft rate in the state. Again, this past Jan 07 Newsday’s headline read When Lawyers Steal with Long Island the highest rate, 3.2 mill from 79 clients. Legal experts say lawyer theft is not a pervasive problem.

 Nassau County District Court Judge David Gross, free on $500,000 bond on federal charges of money laundering and conspiracy, will continue to receive his full pay even though he has been suspended from judicial duties.
